This is a moment in time when we should expect our political leaders to lift the game, stop the gamesmanship, and make our politics something that genuinely acts in the interests of all Australians.

we get reports of local and up to a dozen overseas markets and then the oil and gold prices. Give me a break. As an average viewer I can never relate these to what is going on in my life or what is important to me. Materials and money are not measures of a life.

We are learning new ways of approaching so many aspects of life as we live through the covid19 crisis. Under the headings of Politics, the Workplace, and Science these are my thoughts about changes we should pursue.

This is a shopping list of topics I will write about more fully. Many of these initial thoughts show items with broad structure which is harder to address than things that are very specific. This means that the written article must include things we can do about it beyond just pointing to the problem. Make Australia a beacon light for the world. No walls and barriers, physical or metaphorical within our nation or between us and other nations.

So many of my connections in recent weeks have been about the desire for a new world, a hope that we will deal with what ails us as humankind, many of the worst of that being what we have seen since the emergence of covid19. This is a place to capture those hopeful thoughts which we can move from hope to a new reality.
